In the 1960's, James D’Adamo authored "One Man’s Food Is Another Man's Poison." His breakthrough work began the quest to understand how our genetic code, and more specifically our blood type, influences the foods that are healing or damaging to our bodies.
His son, Peter D'Adamo, continued the research and eventually released the books, "Eat Right for Your Type" and "Live Right for Your Type." He deepened his father’s work to include additional genetic markers such as secretor status (whether or not the individual has the blood type material in the saliva).
